Our first-hand experience, complemented with a supportive yet professionally disciplined environment is proving to be the key to our success.
Having started as Colin’s Performing Arts in 1984
CPA Studios is now recognised as one of the leading academies for the Performing Arts in the UK today
In 1999 CPA moved from rented halls to its own specially designed studios situated on London’s eastern border within the county of Essex. In March 2011 Colin’s Performing Arts Ltd became a registered charity with the view of advancing the education of the Performing Arts. With the new Charity Status came a new branding so Colin’s Performing Arts Limited is now CPA Studios which incorporates CPA School and CPA College.
Currently, CPA School offers a part-time Musical Theatre training for students aged 3-18 years. CPA also have the benefit of an agency and management team that offers selected students a chance to audition for professional work in Musical Theatre, Television, Commercials, Print Campaigns, Live Events, Pantomime, Films and Corporate work.
With a strong belief that the students need to excel in all the artistic disciplines, the Principal and Head of School have recruited a team of the best teachers, choreographers, directors and musical directors available, many of whom have West End, UK Tour and International credits to their name, whose commitment to driving the students towards their own personal potential is proving to be a key to the Schools success.
CPA is proud to have been awarded Recognised School Status by the Council for Dance, Drama and Musical Theatre (CDMT). Further information relating to Recognised Schools and the CDMT can be found at www.cdmt.org.uk.
